THE STUDIO · MAKRANA, RAJASTHAN
SINCE 2007
A WORKSHOP IN THE TOWN THAT BUILT THE TAJ MAHAL
Makrana marble has held its whiteness and polish for nearly four hundred years in the Taj Mahal. It is quarried nowhere else. We were founded here in 2007 to carry that stone forward — from raw block to finished piece, entirely by hand.
Two generations of carvers work under one roof: the elders who learned on temple commissions, and the younger hands trained beside them. Between them they have completed more than a thousand installations — in villas and hotels, palaces and apartments, across India and beyond.

THE MATERIAL
"WE DO NOT DECORATE STONE. WE RELEASE WHAT IS ALREADY INSIDE IT."
The Process
FOUR STAGES · ONE COMMISSION
Selection
We select raw Makrana or imported Italian blocks against your drawings. Veining is approved by photograph before a single cut is made — you see the exact stone that becomes your piece.
Carving
Wire-saw first for the mass, then chisel for the detail. We share progress photographs at every stage — while the stone still allows it, adjustments remain possible.
Finishing
Honed, polished, fluted, or left riven — the finish is chosen for the room it will live in. Every surface is worked by hand and inspected against the Sasdas standard.
Delivery
Crated in timber and shipped fully insured, worldwide. For large commissions we coordinate installation. Anything damaged in transit is replaced or repaired at no cost.
