MARBLE MANDIR IN JAIPUR

Our workshop is 150 km up the road in Makrana. Close enough to visit, close enough that your mandir reaches Jaipur the day after it is crated.

THREE HOURS FROM THE CITY

THE ADVANTAGE OF BUYING IN YOUR OWN STATE

Jaipur clients get the one thing most buyers never do: they can stand in the yard and look at the raw block before it is cut. Makrana is about a three-hour drive, and a visit answers in ten minutes what a hundred photographs cannot — how white the stone actually is, and how deep the carving goes.

If a visit is not practical, nothing changes about how we work. Measurements over WhatsApp, a proposal, photographs at each carving stage, then a crated delivery to your address in the city.

Delivery and Visits

JAIPUR SPECIFICS

  • Transit: roughly 150 km by road; typically one day once the piece is crated
  • Workshop visit: about a three-hour drive each way — message us first so the work is ready to see
  • Packing: timber-crated and internally braced even on short hauls; marble breaks on potholes, not on distance
  • Insurance: fully insured dispatch to delivery, as on every shipment we send
  • Large pieces: full-height mandirs ship in sections and are assembled on site

Sizing for Jaipur homes

Older havelis and bungalows in the walled city and in Civil Lines usually have the ceiling height for a 6 to 7 ft mandir with a domed crest — the piece can be as tall as the room allows. Newer apartments on Tonk Road, Vaishali Nagar and Mansarovar are closer to the standard 10 ft slab-to-slab, where a 3.5 to 4.5 ft floor-standing mandir sits better.

Send the alcove width, the finished ceiling height and a photograph of the wall. We will come back with a size that fills the space without dominating it.

Jaipur — Questions

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Can I visit the workshop from Jaipur?

Yes — Makrana is roughly 150 km from Jaipur, about a three-hour drive, so a workshop visit is a comfortable day trip. Call or message first so we can have the pieces you are interested in out of the yard and ready to see.

How quickly can a mandir reach Jaipur?

Transit is short — usually one day by road once the piece is crated. The carving time is what governs the date: four to six weeks from confirmed order for most mandirs.

Is Makrana marble better than Kishangarh or Banswara stone?

They are different stones for different jobs. Makrana is a dense, low-porosity white marble that holds polish and resists yellowing, which is why it suits mandirs and fine carving. Kishangarh markets many imported and engineered stones; Banswara green is a serpentine used decoratively. We carve Makrana white as standard and source others on request.

Do you do temple and trust commissions as well as home mandirs?

Yes. Alongside home mandirs we carve arches, jali screens, pillars and sanctum elements for temple work. Send drawings or photographs of the reference and we will quote the stone and carving separately.
