CARVED AT THE SOURCE, NOT ASSEMBLED FROM PARTS
Most mandirs sold online are machine-cut panels glued into a frame. Ours are carved by hand in our own workshop in Makrana, Rajasthan — pillars turned on the lathe, jali screens pierced by chisel, inlay set stone by stone into the marble rather than painted onto it.
Makrana marble is dense and low in porosity, which is why it holds a polish and stays white where softer stone yellows. It is quarried nowhere else. We have worked it since 2007 and have completed more than a thousand installations — family mandirs in apartments, temple commissions, and full sanctum installations for larger homes.
Choosing a Size
THREE WORKING SCALES
Table-top · 1.5–2 ft
For a niche, a shelf or a wardrobe-top shrine in a flat. Single-piece carving, arrives assembled, light enough for two people to place. Usually a carved arch with a small chowki base.
Floor-standing · 3–5 ft
The most requested size for Indian apartments. Room for one or two idols, a drawer or cabinet base for samagri, and a jali arch above. Fits a standard 3 ft alcove with breathing space.
Full-height · 6–7 ft
A dedicated pooja room piece with a lit sanctum, turned pillars, a domed or jali crest and a carved plinth. Ships in sections and is assembled on site.
Before you enquire, measure three things: the clear width of the alcove or wall, the finished floor-to-ceiling height, and the narrowest doorway or lift the piece has to pass through. Those three numbers decide the design more than anything else.

BEFORE YOU COMMISSION
What size marble mandir suits a flat?
For an apartment, a 2 to 3.5 ft floor-standing mandir or a 1.5 to 2 ft table-top temple usually fits a pooja niche or a dedicated corner without crowding it. Measure the width of the alcove and the clear ceiling height first — we carve to your measurement rather than to a stock size.
How long does a marble mandir take to make?
Four to six weeks from confirmed order for most mandirs. Larger commissions with dense inlay or pierced jali work can take longer; we confirm the date in writing before carving starts.
Which marble do you use?
Makrana white is our default — the same quarry stone used in the Taj Mahal, quarried and carved at source. Ivory, green and black marbles and Italian stone are available where a piece calls for them.
What does a marble mandir cost?
Price depends on height, stone, and how much hand-carving and inlay the design carries — a compact table-top temple and a 7 ft family mandir with gemstone inlay are different orders of work. Send us your size and a reference photograph on WhatsApp and we will quote it.
Do you deliver outside India?
Yes. Pieces are crated in timber and shipped fully insured door to door. Import duties and local taxes in the destination country are the responsibility of the client as importer of record.
Does the mandir arrive assembled?
Small and mid-size mandirs arrive assembled. Full-height mandirs ship in sections designed for safe assembly on site; we send assembly guidance and, where agreed, coordinate installation.
