01Overview

Sasdas Marble (“we”, “us”, the “Studio”) is a GSTIN-registered marble atelier based in Makrana, Rajasthan, India, carving Makrana and Italian marble to commission since 2007. These Terms & Conditions apply to all enquiries, quotations, orders and deliveries.

They are provided for information and form the working agreement between the Studio and the client (“you”). Where a signed commission agreement exists for a specific project, that agreement prevails over these terms to the extent of any conflict.

02Bespoke & Made to Order

Almost every piece we sell is hand-carved to commission from natural stone. Dimensions, stone, finish and motif are confirmed with you in writing before production begins. Catalogue images represent previous work and the character of a design — your piece will be individually made and will differ in the natural detail of its stone.

Where a piece is offered from existing stock, it is sold as the specific item shown.

03Quotations & Pricing

Quotations are issued in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise agreed and are valid for 30 days. Prices are inclusive of carving and finishing as specified; unless stated, they exclude freight, insurance, installation, import duties and local taxes.

Applicable Indian GST is charged where required. Currency conversion for international clients is indicative and settled at the rate on the date of payment.

04Orders & Payment

An order is confirmed on receipt of an advance deposit, typically 50% of the piece value, with the balance due before dispatch. Larger or multi-piece commissions may be staged against production milestones. Production begins only after the deposit is received and the specification is approved.

Accepted methods include bank transfer and other means agreed at the time of order. Title in the goods passes to you only on receipt of full payment.

05Natural Stone Variation

Marble, onyx, travertine and granite are natural materials. Veining, tone, translucency and fossil detail vary from block to block and within a single block. This variation is inherent to natural stone and is not a defect.

For pieces where veining is critical, we approve the specific block or slab with you by photograph before cutting. Minor tonal difference between an approved photograph and the finished, sealed piece is normal and expected.

06Lead Times & Production

Indicative lead times are 4–10 weeks depending on the complexity of the commission, and are confirmed at the time of order. We share progress photographs at key stages. Lead times are estimates in good faith and may be affected by stone availability, weather, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

07Shipping, Risk & Title

Finished pieces are crated in timber and shipped fully insured, worldwide. Full delivery terms are set out in our Shipping & Delivery policy. Risk in the goods is covered by transit insurance from dispatch to delivery; title passes to you on full payment.

08Changes & Cancellation

Because pieces are made to order, changes are only possible while the stage of carving still allows them — we will tell you honestly when a change can no longer be made. Cancellation after production has begun is subject to recovery of stone, labour and costs already incurred, which may include the full deposit.

09Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, photographs and written content on this website are the property of Sasdas Marble and may not be reproduced without permission. Where you supply a drawing or reference for a commission, you confirm you have the right to do so; we retain the right to photograph completed work for our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.

10Liability

We stand fully behind our craftsmanship and the assurances in our Care & Warranty policy. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in respect of any piece is limited to its repair, replacement or the price paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for damage arising from improper installation, misuse, or failure to follow our care guidance.

11Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rajasthan.
